What is Wear It Wednesday?

Wear It Wednesday is a youth campaign that encourages students to "wear their faith" on the first Wednesday of each month. By wearing their favorite Christian shirt (Christian band, youth group, etc.) students can share the joy of their faith without saying a word.

Who Created Wear It Wednesday?

Wear It Wednesday was created by young Atlanta entrepreneur, Chelsea. Chelsea, the founder of Faithful Fish, realized the power of clothing as a media for students.

Inspiration Behind Wear It Wednesday

Many school districts are making it difficult for students to meet on campus for Bible studies and prayer meetings. As a result, Christian students are looking for new ways to express their faith. Wear It Wednesday encourages students to use their clothing as a means for communicating their love for God. Wearing their favorite Christian shirt the first Wednesday of each month empowers students to not only show the joy of their faith but also encourages them to be part of a larger Christian community. Wednesday is the perfect day because it allows them to invite their friends to church that evening.

What is the Goal of Wear It Wednesday?

A national youth campaign, Wear It Wednesday seeks to register the participation of 1,000,000 students online at www.wearitwednesday.com. By registering, students pledge to wear their faith-themed clothing on the first Wednesday of every month. Students can post pictures, blog and email the link to spread the movement across the nation. The Wear It Wednesday team views this as a continual growing community that has no end.

Twitter Tuesday, etc.

Wear It Wednesday will have a Tuesday Twitter with reminders and inspiration about our faith. Thursdays will be blogging about the event that month along with pictures submitted from supporters posted on the Wear It Wednesday website.
