Wear it Wednesday may have been idea of one young girl but it will take thousands to make it a successful movement. The opportunities to spread His Word and to encourage people from the Christian community to register for Wear it Wednesday are endless. However, Chelsea can’t do this alone which is why we need the help of many volunteers.

The Youth Pastor role is one of the most important roles in the “Wear it Wednesday” movement. Your role in the church and the community provide you with a unique connection with students that many others don’t have. The goal is to help students understand the impact they can have on others by sharing the joy of being Christian. Not only can you guide the students to wear their favorite Christian shirt each Wednesday but you are also in a perfect position to education students on how they can connect with others through this movement.

Imagine one day a week when over 1,000,000 students nationwide become one with the Lord and each other. Imagine what school will be like on that day—will everyone be kinder to each other? Will there be students who passed each other in the hall everyday and had no idea they had something HUGE in common with? You are an influence to all and have been given the gift of being a leader in our faith.

Your Role:

• Educate your youth group on the movement and the impact they can have on other students by sharing their faith just by wearing their favorite Christian t-shirt each Wednesday
• Register on-line at www.wearitwednesday.com to receive your Wear it Wednesday poster and other materials to introduce your students to this movement.
• Form 10 member teams within your youth group to drive registration and continued participation through the Wear it Wednesday website. Assign a responsible youth leader to each team.
• Have the youth leader report to you each week on the number of people/students who have registered
• Have the students share stories on how they were able to share their faith through wearing their t-shirt
• Hold fun contests for the best Christian tee
• Take pictures of your youth and send post them here
• Submit student testimonials here
• Send feedback to Wear it Wednesday on your successes and any ideas you have for the movement
